Hi all,
Ronan Flanagan here from RTÉ Junior.
We are running this competition and we are trying to get it to club mentors and to spread the word among the underage set-ups around the country.
https://www.rte.ie/learn/2021/0701/1232523-win-with-rtejr-and-the-gaelic-players-association/
It is open to all counties and all codes and we will be picking a boy and girl winner.
I would really appreciate it if you could spread the word.
All the best,
Ronan
Tell us who your favourite county player is and you could win some cool kit and a chance to chat to your hero!
RTÉjr have teamed up with the Gaelic Players Association to hook you up with this championship prize.
We are asking young fans to tell us who their favourite male or female player is and why. This means that we have two prizes - one with a Gaelic Footballer/ Hurler and another one with a LGFA/ Camogie star.
You just need to pick one and send in a short video telling us why the legend is your number one and you could win a signed replica jersey, some of their actual kit and a video call for some one on one advice.
CLICK HERE TO UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO AND ENTER THE COMPETITION!
The players can be from any county and the two winners will be picked at random!
***Please film your video with the phone in landscape/ sideways***
The closing date has been extended and will run up to 1 August!
Keep an eye on RTÉjr and RTÉ kids social media as we will be sharing some of the video entries.
It's a great time to celebrate the players as the GPA have just launched a new inclusive logo to show that that they now represent all the men and women playing with pride for their counties. Check it out!

The GPA is the representative body for high performance inter-county players.
Founded by players in 1999, and strengthened by a merger with the Women's Gaelic Players Association in 2020, the GPA supports over 4,000 current male and female inter-county players and a growing number of former players across the four core pillars of Player Representation, Player Welfare, Player Development and Equality.
